Anyone using these?

I sent a question to Acura by fax and they called me back saying the "2002 TL does not have LATCH." Great help!

My question is: the system has 4 lower anchors, 2 on the passenger side, and 2 on the driver side. The recommend location for an infant seat is the middle seat. Can I use the right anchor from the driver side and the left anchor from the passenger side to secure the seat?

Sort of like this:

door [1] pass side [X] baby [X] dvr side [4] door

Where [1] and [4] are the two outermost anchors. Baby is the infant car set. The two anchors with an [X] are the ones I want to use.

yes, purpose of those anchor is to hold the child seat in place..if you can secure it safely down, it's all good.

 

I have a 2003 TL-S and I use a car seat with the LATCH system as well. I am using a booster seat (40-80 lbs) not an infant seat, so yours might be a little different than mine.

I have put the seat in all three positions in the back seat without any problems. I place a clean white towel between the car seat and the leather just to prevent any of the decals on the car seat from leaving stains on the leather.

Sit on the car seat when you are tightening the straps to make sure it is in good and tight. I can get mine so that the seat does not move at all when I pull on it.
