2002 Spoiler removal

Hey guys, I am a former CL owner and have a magnificent deal ready to close on a 2002 TL. It currently has a rear spoiler attached and while I do not condone it, I do not know how I will feel in the future.

If that day comes, can this spoiler be removed by the dealer with no damage? Thanks in advance!

No it cannot be removed without leaving holes in the trunk. There are bolts that go through the trunk lid to mount it. Unless they are willing to trade you a trunk lid from a car with no spoiler, you are out of luck.

Yes, if you remove the factory spoiler, it leaves you the holes. You need to fill in those holes & the trunk lid needs to be repainted.
