2002 Maxima SE vs TLS
Just curious as to which on you guys would pick and why. I am comparing the loaded Max Se (Auto), and the TL Type S. Thanks
B
P.S. I know this topic has been discussed, but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions now that the Max is readily avaliable for test drives...

I'm not sure that the tired "Maxima vs TL-S" debate is at the forefront of everyones thoughts at this particular time.....

Autofile,
I agonized over this and finally settled on the TL-S.
Some points to consider:
TL-S adv:
5 speed
better luxury features
nicer looking (subjective)
Maxima adv:
available in stick
folding rear seats
cheaper
Infiniti I35:
all the Maxima adv with some added luxury features
BUT - somewhat more conservative styling.
All depends what you want. If you want the fastest thing possible then get the Maxima in a stick.
However, the TL-S is about a lot more than just sport.

IMO, Type S. Period.
Why? I've said it before and I'll say it again. The SE is a fine car (drove mine for 11 years and 206k miles), but it has become downright unattractive. When I see one now next to my Type S, all I can say is "Eeeuuww!"
