2002 Gold Package

If anyone has the gold package on their BLACK 2002 TL, please post some pics here. I'm curious on how it changes the look.

You may want to post this (and search) in the TL-S gallery. I know you don't have a TL-S, but most of the 2002 people hang in there.....

I have gold on my NPB 99, heres a shot from the front, don't have one of the back but I can take one if you'd like. I definitely like the contrast with black and gold, I think I'm going to take out the bar and put in a mesh grill though.

No need for the back. In the type S forum, someone had posted front and back. But with theirs, they didn't have both inner and outer grill gold.

You're a life saver. I almost got the complete gold package like you did at point of sale. But after seeing pictures of it both ways, I can see that I actually prefer only the A being gold in the front instead of the whole grill

That was me.

I also only prefer the "A" in gold, not the whole grill.

Blackshadow, now you see a picture of what I consider the "ghetto" look. (Dave...I'm not knocking your ride)

Anyway Black, that's the look I wanted to avoid.

You arent? what pic are you referring to then? Ill post pics whenever I get around to trying a silver mesh grill, I think that would look tight with my gold.

Dave....just because my OWN PERSONAL tastes may differ from someone elses (which you even stated you would of prefered only the inner) doesn't mean I'm knocking the ride itself. There are MANY things that I would not on MY ride. And if someone has something on their ride that I wouldn't have on my ride doesn't make my vehicle any better than theirs. It's just all about personal taste.

(btw, I know your statement was in jest. But some people won't see that, hence the detailed response)

Yes, please do post the pics once you get the mesh put in. As we all know, one minor change on a vehicle can change the entire appearance.

Hey Dave.....the other day I saw a TL with that silver mesh grill that you were talking about. You definitely need to put that on your car, I think it would look great.

Cool GOLD KIT ON DIAMOND PEARL WHITE

As the question was posed albeit for another color, I still thought I'd post a pic of the 2002 TL GOLD GRILLE EMBLEM on a Diamond Pearl White TL-S, in case anyone is interested in how it looks. There's a fair amount of pages in the gallery so this might be quicker to access...

Gold kit

I did the same thing- had a full gold kit on black, looked great, but the front was too much or me. In fact, I just put up the gold grill pieces up for sale in the for sale section http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=28563

The silver remains from the back are there, too.

I don't know, it was just TOO MUCH gold in the front for my taste. But I like the back a lot - gold looks great on black.

now if I can just find a set of those gold tips for the exhaust...
