2002-2003 Tls Differences

Is there any difference at all between a 2002 and a 2003 TL TypeS? Im going to be buying one soon and I just want to know the differences before I start looking.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

well the 02 doesnt have tweeters, the 03 tls has perforated leather on the doors as opposed to the reagular leather on the 02 tls, anthracite was offered in 02 but only as a tlp, and as for the onstar, i suggest anyone who gets it should rip it out of their cuz the fbi just got sued from onstar for using it to listen in on people w/o onstars permission.

I had a buddy that had a chevy blazer that had this onstar capabilities. Well, one day him and his wife get into a heated argument (you know how newlywed rednecks are) and the next thing you know onstar gets on the line and asks, "Ma'am, do need us to dispatch the police to your location for a possible domestic violence ensuing?" Can you believe that crap, these Muthafuck@$ were monitoring the entire conversation and they then had the audacity to accuse my buddy of domestic violence (his wife could probably kick his ass, by the way.... I too am a little scared of her)..... I agree with Cubanmix, if you got it, disable it... it ain't worth it.... Damn big brother watching us...

As for differences..... people are complaing that they can't play CD'Rs in their decks... but I don't know if it is a major problem though.... the color and leather schemes are different, but get the ride and then paint that bad boy any damn color you want......

Some of the latter '03 TLs aren't covered by the 100,000mi/7yrs extended transmission warranty since Acura claimed they fixed the transmission problem.

I believe the red in 2002 and earlier TLs was Firepepper Red. It was replaced in 2003 by Redondo Red. Anthracite Metallic was introduced halfway through the model year because 2003 was a long production year for the TL (Spring 2002 - end of Summer 2003).

INDOmfp---I dont know how that could happen unless he subscribed to Onstar's monthly rate. Cuz I know I havent subscribed to the service... so they cant be monitoring my conversations right?

You dont have to be subscribed for them to listen in on you, it has the capability to always transimt your conversations in the car. They activate your service when you subscribe so they have the power as well as any agency that asks permision to use it from the with a proper warrant. So say you dont have the service but someone does hear you make a criminal transaction in the car or speak of one, it isnt hard for them to report it to the proper authorities, and they can also track your car so it wouldnt be very difficult for them to get you in trouble.

i knew the 03 door panels are different from 02, also the 02 obd2 connector is behind heated seat switch and 03 is on a bracket above gas pedal, 03 power driver seat use a smaller gray connector for power seat while 02 use a blue and white one that those two cannot be interchange. also the memory seat plug by driver side fuse is different too, i knew all this because i did complete 03 interior conversion on my 02 tl-s

From what i am told you have to have certain fuses removed from your vehicle. I tried to get a hold of an onstar rep, but they would not talk to me. I would just take it to the dealer and have them disable it after your trial period ends...

Somehow I don't trust my dealer to properly disable onstar...

gonna have to do more research on this. Or just rip the power wire going to onstar.
