2001 TL Neon Light Problem SRS Light

I recently purchased some neon lights that you plug in to the cigarette lighter. When I plugged them in, they worked fine. When I unplugged them, it deprogrammed all my radio stations and it tripped of my SRS warning light. I was just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and what you did to fix it. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated! thanx peace

the cig lighter is linked to a few cute things in our electrical system. the radio, the other power port, a few other things. plug a 12 volt battery in to the lighter socket and you can turn your radio on

You prob just blew a fuse or maby the neon just overloaded the circuit. unplug the negative from the main battery for 3 minutes and reconnect ot reset the comptuer. Your SRS computer will reset as well, unless its fried... otherwise, all will return to normal. and dont do that again

Back about 10-12 years ago when I used to sell car accrssories we used ot sell the neon lights. The biggest warning we had to give people was that they should NOT be installed on a car with ABS brakes. Don't remember why but back then it was definitely a problem.

I know it's not what your expieriencing but it may point in the right dirtection.
