I just would like to start with a THANK YOU. Everyone on this forum has been very helpful. I have another question. What are the pros and cons of both short ram and cai intake, also any recommended brands?

 

RAM = Lots of Noise + Bit of Gains.
CAI = Noise + Best Gains.

Brands: AEM, INJEN, COMPTECH.

 

^to further expand; short ram air, you're pulling in HOT air from the engine bay.

 

^ To double expand.. RAM gains basically comes from the shiny chrome tube that makes the airflow more stable also the increased filter cone area. But basically not cold air that is denser and better for the Engine as in CAI. For same reason RAM = Bit of Gains, CAI = Best Gains.
