its the gear ratio- 4th is about 1 to 1 and 5th .8 to 1 (examples)

so you are not going to have a lot of torque in them- all cruise is the intent
Make sure your vtec is operating properly, and the TB plate and intake system are cleaned

Not really. The reason why it doesn't pull in higher gears is physics. The faster something is moving the more energy you use to keep it at that speed. Plus you want to go faster on top of that.

Wana get harder pull in 4th gear? TL-S motor swap is a good start.

is it worth doing the swap at all, cause look if you have about 200k on your body and you put in 6 speed and new engine arnt you gonna have squeeks and other sounds since its an old car, so would it be better to just sell the car or put in a 6 speed?

If you dont have creaks or rattles now, you wont when ur do the swap. Just cuz you have a ton of miles doesn't make ur car a dude. It all depends on how well its aged. My TL was hit like 1000 times, so by the end of its life, there wasnt shit left LOL. Other people are more fortunate.

IMHO you'll gain more from the motor than the tranny and its less work.

Now why in the world would you have squeaks and other sounds just by putting that in?

Jack up the car, place it on jack stands and inspect your exhaust hangers (probably a good idea to replace them all due to their age) and make sure none of the heat shields are bent and touching. Also inspect your motor mounts. If its moving that much by starting the car your motor must be moving a lot

no i am not saying that just because of the swap u will get squeeks, i am wondering if its just worth all that money about 2k to do a swap... like is it better to just get a new car than put in a 6 speed? dont get me wrong i like my car just wondering.

true. but they could have made the 5spd gears a bit shorter too seeing how u top out in 4th gear.

Fuel economy. And let me tell you, the TL-S is much more fuel efficient around the city than the CC 2.0T is. And its heavier and has 60 more hp.

Anyehere from 3.5-5k for a 6spd swap. A bit cheaper if u have thr type s engine already.

And its worht it. The power u get, the control u have, and the uniqueness.

Oh man its good my auto tranny feels strong cause i dont have that kind of money to spend on a failure. If you burn out in the rain does that ruin your tranny?

Not really. U have little to no traction on the rain and putting little stress on the trans. Now when u peel out from first to second that will cause more harm.

Wrong answer. How does spinning your tires on a slick surface effect the 3rd gear clutchpacks shifting thru 3rd?? Thes trannies arent weak. the internal gears are very strong, its a WEAR item (picture it like a round brake pad thats less than a 1/8 thick material) that is what is wearing out from shifts to and from. Your tires will take the most abuse.

actually the most harm would be from 2 to 3 but even then it would be like a normal shift while driving. Probably easier on it since there is less friction and actual stress on the parts if its spinning.

... for the 5k that your going to waste buying HIS car to have a stock (salvage title) type s with another glass tranny you can upgrade YOUR car with a reliable 6 speed, type s motor and mods

You will have a salvage title car with the same faulty trans that you will probably still have to replace. For the same 5k (or less if you search good for parts and do the work yourself) you can convert to a type-s motor and 6 speed trans which wont have any failure issues.

so what would be a good price to sell a 2000 acura tl-p 94k miles salvage title but it was damaged in the rear so nothing big, car has no leaks and no problems.
