2000 TL - Driver (front left) window won't roll down
So, a few months ago, my driver's side window would only work intermittently. Seemed to get better when I happened to replace the battery, but that could have just been a coincidence.
Now, it doesn't roll down at all. However, all of the other windows do roll down from that (driver door) control panel.
When I try the switch, the lights dim. That makes me think it's not the switch? Aside from window regulator/motor, what else could it be? And how do I test for something else?
The dealer says they want $330 for the part, and $150 for labor. And for them to just diagnose, it would be $150. But if they replaced the part, that $150 would go towards the labor. So, $480 total, which seems super high.
I'm considering just doing it myself with a part from Rock Auto. Their parts aren't OEM, but they also only run about $50. Is there any major difference? https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...assembly,15596
Thanks for any help!

I doubt there is any difference besides materials. 330 sounds really high for that part when the online stores list it at around 200 for OEM part number 72250-S0K-A03.
Various Acura OEM sites around, People have their favorites. Maybe try to get dealership to price match?
IMO, go with Rock Auto for savings and see how well it lasts/performs. If not satisfied, you already know how to replace and can save for OEM.
Once you get the panel off, there might be something else going on, you never know. Good Luck!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll just go with Rock Auto. I would think anything they have would be solid. And even if the new part only lasted 5 or 10 years (vs the OEM's 20 years), I'm not even sure I'd have the car that much longer.
Thanks for the replies.
