guys, there are 2 problems on my car that happen very rarely

1st, happened in stop and go traffic only, the speedo needle jump way high for a heartbeat then back to actual speed.

2nd, happened this morning when i started the car, i twisted my iginition key, the car didn't start but make lots of ticking noise, no indicators were lighted up, needles were all dead. Tried for 3 or 4 times, the car finally started.

anyone had any of those problems?? what should i do??

just call your dealership and explain to them your problem.they should help you out.

 

I had #1 happen to me twice. I never thought anything of it and until this day, everything seems fine.

As for #2, it sound's like the battery is dying. I would probably have that replaced.

 

Sounds like a faulty contact with the battery where the battery is really low in voltage or about to go dead... Have the dealer provide further information. If you have any electrical mods, such as a stereo replacement or light mods etc... make sure you don't have a pinched wire someplace.

 

Yeah - I had that speedo thing. Its not a problem, except I was doing 80 and it jumped to 160 and back... kinda made me wonder, but I thought it was kind of funny. Hasn't done it in monthes though. As far as your #2 concern, I also think its your battery.

 

Hmmm.... I had the speedo thing happen to me too, from a dead stop. It went up to 80 then back down. No difference in engine noise tho. Strange.

Did you know if you tap on the dash, the speedo also jumps up and down. even if the engine is not on.

 

It's your battery.

 

Have you had the IGNITION SWITCH update performed yet? Check with your dealer.
