2 Dam Frustrated.

Sorry about this post, guys, but I had to vent to someone again. I called my boy up yesterday to vent to him but today I need to do it again. Who better than my TL peoples?!

I'm finally ready to plunk down the new figure of $4700 for the LSportlines. Turns out Dazz is willing to machine the hub of the wheel, so it'll fit the TL. Cool beans, right? Well I've probably called 20 or so companies trying to find out good prices, availablitiy, etc. This is still the best price, so I call 'em up yesterday and try to buy 'em, right? Turns out that there is NONE of these wheels in the US at the moment. The lone shipment of them is on the boat from Japan and still at least 30 days out--and that's to the West coast. Sheit!!!

Dude I've been waiting freakin' forever and now it's gonna take AT LEAST a month and a half?!??!! I called around again today to make sure there wasn't a stray set sittin' around in the states, and one of the companies I called tells me that LSportline has already notified Dazz about me telling them that some kid is snooping around for a set for his TL. That's a good thing, because they know I want a set, but if mine aren't on the boat, then I'll have to wait until they order more, ship overseas, etc, etc....

WAITING SUCKS!!!!!

Thanks for allowing a fellow TLer to cry about this....

Ken

Sounds weird to me, most surface shipments from japan take 17-23 days.

Don't sweat it. Once you get it, you'll forget about the whole long wait.

Till he hits that first pot hole and has to replace a wheel. I'm sorry guys but $4700 for wheels and another grand for tires...come on it's a 30 - 32 K car.....Way to much money....I would hesitate put that kinda money into a NSX....MPO

Excuse me, am I missing something. You are spending $4700 on a set of rims and are complaining about the wait? For that cost, you should not have to wait.

I know you must like your ride man, but this is an expensive mod. I would be worried everytime I left my car, that it would be sitting on blocks when I returned to it.

I guess that's why it wasn't on our list for the L-Sportline inventory...

Hey its his money, spend it in whatever way makes you happy man. Those are beautiful looking rims that will truely be unique on your ride. The wait will be worth it

MikeS....nah man...that's 4700 total.

Yeah I know it's alot of coinage....but it'll be the only Acura with them wheels. I like being different. Being different costs $$$$.

Thanks to those who looked for me!! I appreciate it! Too bad it was a lost cause....

Oh yeah...Value...it'll take that long because the boat just left i guess plus they'll have to unload, machine them, ship to the east coast, etc, etc....blah, blah, blah. Beats me man...that's just what they said. Oh yeah...when you gonna let me know on that body kit, dude!!?!?!

$4700 for rims? You have some serious spare change lying around, brother.

Still man... thats a full $1000 over the price of my rims and tires... you could get some Lowenharts for less than that... I'm not so sure I'd go with those. If you could find some Lowenhart BSDs you'd be rolling on some fat ass wheels and I don't think they even make the BSDs anymore... have you seen the Agle Minervas? They are siiiick!

Nah...personally don't like the BSD's. Thought about the BR5's in 19's, but for one, SybariticOne (however the hell you spell his name) got them first, and two...because I like these LSportline's better anyways. I know it really sucks that the wheel I finally settled on was that much. It's a shame. Searching for wheels, I finally came across this one and fell in love. I knew right away I wanted these, and so far I've had to go through fitment issues, machining, price, shipping, and hell they aren't even in the states yet.

I love the LD1's, but somehow don't see that they fit our cars as far as looks go. They seem to be more for Benz's to me. I love Dronells too, but like I says before....I fell in love with these.

Not only do I love the way they look, but think about it like this...the chances that someone else will have these wheels on their Acura is MUCH slimmer than any other wheel because basically, these don't fit without modifications. Not to mention the price, but still....

Maybe ya'll come around when they mounted and blingin'.....

Believe me, there is NO talking Ken out of these wheels (I've tried, but it's his money!!) It will be money well spent though, once you see them sittin' on the ride!! Sorry for all the trouble your going through with them my man, but you won't be complaining in a month or two!! Speaking of complaining, just got my suspension tonight and went outside to put my wheels on. Got them all on except for the last one, and I find my damn wheelock is stripped out and I fought for over and hour with it. No way it's coming off. Now I can't get the suspension installed until I can find someone to get my freakin' STOCK wheel off.
