it was 12/10 may be 12/12 now if you get it free- the unit warranty is seperate from the total mileage limit
If you have a partial pay- goodwill- out of warranty limits fix and pay 500, you can buy a 3/36 for 300
All that keeps changing so you really need to ask the PARTS manager, they order the parts and know warranty

your quite luckly. if they didnt tell you that u had to pay anything or if u didnt sign paper work and they tell u that you owe them so and so much, you dont have to pay for it. since you didnt sign anything.

Also don't be surprised if you get a call from them telling you your front mount is shot. So new transmission + front mount cost me a total of $230, if you exclude the gas I bought for the rental.

I guess the older the 2nd gen get, the more failures it will show. Some of the 2nd gen are amazing low miles.

Glad to hear you are covered. I wasn't but they good willed it anyway (1/20/09). I paid $500 and received a 3/36 warranty. I think you will get the 1/12. If I were you I would ask about paying the $500. It's a small price to pay considering the cost of a new unit out of warranty. At least you know the car will be good for another 3 years. Also they will probably want you to pay the parts for the front and side motor mounts. Mine were recently replaced so I lucked out with that.

you only need to replace the motor mounts if they are broken

The front likely is, the right side depends on how long the front was broken and you kept racing around~
Dealer tech knows this and inspects them when the car is on the lift

The labor savings is on the front mount only- with trans removed its a 20 minute job.
Side mount is same amount of time regardless

if you pay a percentage of the repair- they will sell you for 300$ a 3/36
When you go to sell the car thats a big feature and worth 1000 in value

so everytime you get a tranny from them you have the option for the 3/36? Any idea if theyre an extended warrenty option like when the 3/36 is up, can you extend it?

trying to gather as much info as I can cause im gonna be taking it in soon..tranny isnt so smooth anymore and only had the car 6 months bwaaaaha 99,800 mls

if you are out of `limits` and they give you `partial goodwill coverage`, meaning you PAY some portion- lets say $500 towards the trans, then you can buy the 3/36

If its in limits and you pay nothing, the trans unit is coming with a 12/10.. last I knew for certain.

Check your VIN to see if that 03 is covered vin range or past end vin- that will affect everthing right now, You have 50 or 109 coverage depending on that
http://owners.acura.com/registration...erstepone.aspx
need your VIn and then look in recall section -see what it says next to trans warranty length 50 or 100

getting a fresh trans at that mileage for free or low cost, shortly after buying a TL is a major bonus- its like getting half a new car!!, and will improve the running of the car

Seafoam and spark plugs- that thing will be like new

be aware of the coming of the 105 service~ very important
