I originally posted this question to Wayneg but at this point, if any of you guys can help me out with this, I would really appreciate it:

How can you tell if something is wrong with your transmission or it there may be a potential problem...at times when I'm shifting from "D" to "R" there's a slight jerk (not all of the time, but it has happened more that once) and it has also happened when I'm shifting from "R" to "P"...is this something that I should be concerned about? I'm still under warranty so would that be included in the warranty if it needs to be replaced?

have you checked the transmission fluid to see if its at the correct level? since its under warranty, take it to the dealer anyway. doesnt cost you a thing except your time...
also, depending on how many miles on the car, you might need to replace the tranny fluid.

Take it to the dealer, they should replaced it with a new one. I had the same problem. I'm driving with a new trany with 47,000 miles on my car. They have a transmission exchange program.....they are pretty quiet about this one, unless you point it out and complain a couple of times. They will replace it like they did to me and others.

 

I'll take it back to the dealer and see what they'll say...I pray that it's something as simple as transmission fluid. Thanks again guys!!
