1st to 2nd shift

Has anyone found a way to defeat the automatic 1-2 upshift when in SS mode?

Haven't tried but someone on another thread suggests that turning off the VSA might do it or at least not shift until near red line.

sup dude,

Yeap I tried it. Don't use the VSA and put the freakin metal to the pedal man. It should go all the way up to the red line and it will shift automactically. That's the best I could have done to my TL-S

Man it's the best feeling but not the best when smelling your engine

It works all right and what a blast! It only seems to work if you punch it, though. Moderate pedal does not seem to work.

Even if you don't punch it, first gear gets higher RPM when the VSA is off. I just tried this today since I too noticed very short 1st gear.

Did anyone try VSA off with SS?
