18" Rims on Type S

Will 18" rims fit on a stock '03 TLS with no rubbing or size issues? I want to get larger rims but am wondering about how they will fit on the car. Any info will be greatly appreaciated.

yes they fit as long as the offset is at least +45. +48-50 would be best. you'll need to cut the tabs with +45 offset. the tire should be, 225/45 to keep everything in spec

you will need to focus on offset AND rim width; tire size and amount of lowering will matter too.

"generally"...
- 7.5" wide rim needs at least a +45mm offset for 225mm tires; something higher if using 235mm
- 8" wide rim needs at least a +50mm offset for 225mm tires; might be ok for 235s

there is a lot of info in the tire/rim forum.

On a stock TL-S (not lowered), 18x7.5 will fit without any rubbing. However, once you lower it, you might have problems.
