15k tuneup $115?

I just called Acura dealership and was quoted $115 for 15k tuneup.
Looking through the posts I was under the impression that it is at least $180.
Is that legit price or do you think are they going to add some other fees when I get the bill?

IMO, that is a rip-off! What can possibly go wrong in 15K miles if you have change all the fluids regularly?

So you think I should skip 15k tuneup and just do an oil change?

Most people are paying between $180 and $220 for the 15k service. I really dont think they do much other than check the oil and do a tire rotation. They claim to check the car over and do a complete inspection, wheel balancing and allignment check. I would get it done though, a few hundred dollar service compared to the cost of the car is not bad at all. In the case that anything goes wrong with the car you have proof that you followed the service schedule.

You need to find out EXACTLY what is done for $115. Dealers vary in terms of what is done for a 15K service. My guess is that it's just an expensive oil change. I'd skip it.

If its anything like the Honda service, the 15k, 45k are just expensive oil changes. They also change air filters and thats about it. I used to work at a honda dealership and I can't see too many differences. But you never know, so it would be safer to atleast inquire about what they do.
