Hey guys, I have a question. I want to know how I can run 13.8 without nitrous or supercharger. I have Comptech Headers, Injen intake, and Greddy Evos. But will only run 14.2 (Stock tires, no spare) Are the unorthodox racing pulleys made for the TL?? Will it boost me to high 13s?? My friends brother has a 4 door Integra GSR with cold air intake and 75 shot nitrous and wants to race me for $$$. And downs the TL like its a piece of ****. I want to REPRESENT the TL and show him whos the four door Honda boss. Do I have a chance??? Oh by the way his brother owns a white CL thats runs 13.4 on the quarter mile with NOS. Definately not my style.

How far do you want to go? How serious are you? You can strip EVERYTHING and that might give you a chance, by everything I mean just running the car bare bone, engine, tranny,suspension. loose everything else, you don't need any interior, no AC, no leather seats, no moon roof, no rug, no nothing.... change all your windows too... , and lets not forget getting lighter rims, run slicks on it, carbon fiber all the exterior pieces you can get your hands on....after the diet, you should loose close to about 1000 pounds, get rid of cat, run a titanium exhaust... all that should put you well into the 13 sec range if you are in deed running 14.2 now. This should give you more than the .4 sec you need to beat him...
That is if you REALLY want to beat him..... I did it to my 1991 MR2 none-turbo, I beat a 1996 Supra TT by .8 seconds at La guna Seca.
Was it worth it? NOT really, I ended up having to buy another car and turn the MR2 into a race car, but atleast I can say I beat a Twin Turbo Supra with a NA MR2.....Yes I know I am crazy... still got the MR2.... it's not like I can sell it anymore....

Some of these guys are crazy, I think you can get close to 13.8 without doing anything too drastic.
I'm runnung 14.2 also with comptech headers, exhaust and air filter. Thats it. What I notice now are the crappy stock tires as you always run with VSA off. I bet if you upgrade your tires, you have another 1 to 1.5 tenths there! My 60" foot times are bad, and I spin pretty bad. The all weather MMX4 are really crappy for dry traction.
Make sure you ditch the spare, and anything else you can take out that won't be too big of a pain to put back.
I don't think the pulley will gain you much, but it shouldn't hurt if you have the money and time. There are next to no other worthwhile speed bolt-ons really that you don't already have for except TIRES.
You could always sneak a 50shot, however more than that, I would worry about the tranny. Make sure you get off the line first. This almost sounds like a race that is won or lost right there.

I agree with typesmaximum. Better tires will give you a better 1/4 mile time. We can spin our stock tires pretty easily, so imagine if we had more traction and put that wasted power to use from the very beginning.
for all the folks saying they run sub 14.5 in the TL-S/CL-S, i would like to see some time slips. a g-tech 14.2 is not a 14.2. Neither is a stop watch, or any other method of approximation. i have yet to see at TL-S run a 14.2 with headers/intake/exhaust and whatnot.... especially on stock rubber.
i ran a 14.32 @ 98.09, with i/h/e, UR pulley set and kumho 712's on stock rims. my car was still getting faster too, only had the pulleys on for a day and a half. i guarantee another couple runs i could have hit 14.20's. more drags soon to come, be looking for my 13.99 slip.

why the hell did you get a TL to go around racing with an integra.... if you like racing those ricers go trade it in for RSX-s and slap on mugen intake, header , and exhaust. with spoon cam gears to AFC vtech controller... now you got your self a mid 13 acura...
