12v power sources

What are some 12v power sources (positive, ground) that I can tap in to besides the fuse box? Are there any near the back seat (center counsel, ceiling etc.)? I want to plug in a novelty neon light for the backseat just for fun *not permanent so no flames please* thanks!

why dont you tap the power outlet in the center console cubby? you can get car lighter plug from radioshack and go to town on it.

I plugged a splitter system into the center console 12v outlet- it gives me 3 12v plug ins, for aux gps, small food cooler etc.
You can get a 12v to 110v converter if needed for cheap too! Plug in the disco ball or christmas lights and go to town!!!
Look inside the lower portion of the center armrest console. In the back right corner is a 12v plug in.

Well think about it, you want something temporary, so why splice into your cars power when you just buy a plug and plug the thing in whenever you want?

yea dude, its common sense, if you want something temporary, do something temporary LIKE (what they said) its really simple. if you think about it or have some general knowledge or electricity, then its easy. no problem at all. if you want to keep that neon light in the back, i say then u can tap into a wire for power and stuff and tiddy up them wires. other than that,
"I plugged a splitter system into the center console 12v outlet" this is the best thing, used it to power my 5.1 surround sound computer speakers lol, a tv, PS2, guitar AMP and such. but that was back in the days when i was "exploring"

i don't do much electric stuff.. like i said, i was only exploring with that device. plus i never really did any electric work in the rear but you can try near the Amp but i don't suggest it. nor would anyone else on this forum. just be safe and tap into the fuse box on driver side and just wire it to the back. go to radio shack and just get some wires.

The wire is inside your center console, You need to take some of it apart to get to them. What kind of other stuff are you planning to hook up, and why wouldnt you want plugs on all that stuff so you can easily plug/unplug it.

there really is NO good option for 12v sources in the trunk region. Your best bet is to either take the advise of those above OR take the time and do it right, Temporary or not and run a wire from the fuse box or the battery(the best option and probably wouldnt take any longer to do) and that way you have a good solid power source you can add things to in the future
