think of a turbo...it works because it pulls more air.....think of your resonator....it suks cuz it slows down the air...

you can swap the motor for cheaper ^^^

parts will end up costing double of what a whole engine would.

I ran that time 2 times, the rest averaged 15.3 When i ran those times it was at night around this time of year where it was around 55 deg.
OP, what were the conditions you ran in (temp humidity)

With my '00 TL did about the same thing, a 14.99 at 93 mph, at sea level in 55 degree weather as well. Mods were headers, intake and UR pulley. I left it in D3.

yes its very normal for the elevation you are at. here in tucson there seems to be almost a full second difference in the 1/4 mile times and about 5-6MPH slower than sea level times! Of course more things than elevation play a role in your times!

true but don't forget DA(density altitude), Humidity, Ambient Temperature, Heatsoak. Alot of different factors including the higher elevation.

Thanks for backing me up lol well it was really humid and hot, alot of people took out one headlight just so they can get more air. I didnt do anything just d5 and gas. alot of people said i get a pretty good timing since a porche owner i talked to said he did a way slower timing than what he did in seattle which is AT sea level.

Had YOU maybe mentioned that earlier we might have told you those numbers are probably ok, but still not normal for what the car could do. Heat and humidity will slow your numbers.

my humidity trumps his humidity.. so the fact still remains... car is running slow
even when its cold here we can have 70-100% humidity

altitude plays a factor but my car ran mid 15's all night in Louisiana.. nobody should be complaining about humid weather unless its me!

i remember another member having similar issues with a car that seemingly ran fine... thinhthan i believe even ran an 18 once!

That would be true for the most part however in denver it would be close to a 2 second gap from sea level. If you have never driven at that high of an altitude I suggest you try it sometime! It really feels like something is wrong with the car unless you have only driven the car there at that elevation for the whole life of the car! The difference from sea level to 3075ft is drastic enough as far as performance goes. I could only imagine sea level to 7800ft!

yes the almost 8000ft above sea level will make a big difference. Big time thin air up there! However, I think the heat affects you Tuscon boys more than elevation. 2000 isnt going to make that much a difference.

the heat kills our times as well as the 3075 ft elevation at the track! In the winter is the only time to go to the track and get somewhat of a respectable time.
