06 Accord Spoiler?

What do you guys think about the 06 accord spoiler, i think the angled ends are reminiscent of the tl aspec spoiler.

Would it be easy or hard to bolt this on the back of the TL?

bolting it to the trunk would be easy. Get a drill and drill holes!!!

Now the question that arises is what are teh dimensions of the trunk lid and car back ther? Would it fit? would it look right due to the contour of the trunk?

It's interesting that this topic came up. I ask my self the same question the first time I saw it. I have the JDM spoiler, so I drove up to a Honda dealership and they are very similar. Now, I did not take any messurements, but I will bet that it will bolt right up and not look out of place. I will drive by again some time in the near future, and take some pics side by side, and perhaps some messurements to help you out.

Will keep you posted

Alright Guys, i just got back from the Honda Dealership

2006 Accord Trunk Dimensions:
Straight Across: 49.0 inches
Along Countour: 49.5 inches

1999 TL

Straight Across: 48.25 inches
Along Contour: 48.50 inches

I am going to go to an accord forum and try to find out the dimensions of Mounting Point to Mounting Point.

Does anyone know the measurements of mounting point to mounting point on the OEM wing from Acura?

Do you guys think this wing will fit our car?

Thanks,

Alright Guys;

My friend (Hitech Auto-Richmond Hill) called his supplier in Vancouver and he has that wing in stock, put it on a 2000 TL and IT FITS.
Unfortunatly, did not take pics...errr...will have him do that tommorow

Anyone want to photoshop it to see how it looks?

Looks nice, but I’m surprised that it fits the contour of our TL. Excellent mod if it works!

They come from the factory painted, right?

A lot of the 2G TL colors are now discontinued. So if you're one of the unlucky ones, you will have to get it repainted. Just a FYI, so you can keep in mind that you will end up having to pay another 250 or so to get it painted.

Carbon Bronze Pearl
Desert Mist Metallic
Graphite Pearl
Nighthawk Black Pearl -- Match
Redondo Red
Tefetta White -- Match
Royal Blue Pearl
Sapphire Blue Pearl
Alabaster Silver Metallic

Only 2 colors still match now.

I like that spoiler, too, and actually would like it on my car, but ASM doesn't match SSM.

When we say it fits, does that mean it lines up with the mounting points on our trunk? (And just to make sure, that 06 Spoiler is from a coupe, would that fit on our sedans? Or should we get the 06 Accord Sedan spoiler?)

I believe that it is the one for the 4-DR sedan
not the coupe.

yeah i just put a spoiler on my girlfriend's eclipse the other day. it's real easy. just be sure to check your measurements several times if you're not sure about it. it would definitely suck to drill the holes and find out you measured wrong.

i found that on the 2nd gen tl, the spoiler is mounted at the point where the back of the trunk lid begins to curve down to head towards the rear bumper. most (not all) automakers mount their sedan spoilers in the same fashion because that way it will sit on a flat surface as close as it can to the edge of the trunklid.

put it anywhere that you like how it looks, just be sure to measure and adjust both sides so they're even from a common measuring point on each side of the car. like the quarter glass panel in the back door or some distinct point on the door jamb.

This is kinda of a stupid question:

The guy put it on a 2002 TL

Trunks Lids are the same as 99 to 02 right?

Well, I chopped it onto my TL to see how it would look. It was a quick chop so its not perfect.

Better than stock?

Excellent! Did we ever come to a consensus that the mounting points line up exactly in the same location as the OEM spoiler?

Any updates on your install? I have called aj-racing about a jdm inspire spoiler - twice- since I am not getting anywhere with them, I am very interested on how yours turned out.

I think that the spoiler seems pretty curved for our trunks. There is also the rear decklid offered for the accords too. I found a website that had the rear spoiler for $149.

http://www.stewartdesign.biz/2006-20...er-p-1123.html

You can have the spoiler painted any factory color for an extra $80

So what's the difference? One is like the JDM and this one is flush mounted to the trunk.
