03 type S or 99 M3?
I currently own a 01 tl with 130k with 1 tranny replacemnt that I payed 2k for b/c it went at 112k. I am looking at a number of diff cars but the M3 has cought my eye, though I have yet to test drive one. I have test driven an 03 tls - it was nice but it felt wierd test driving something that is so close to what I own. Another big thing for me is that I am itching to have a manual car again, this is not mandatory though. Obvious issues are the age diff b/w the two and maintenance may also come into play, but I am leary of the ever present tranny issues with our cars too. I am a single guy with no kids so doors or interior room are not an issue. I also want to stay in the 25-28k range. If any one of you gents or ladies can give thoughts/suggestions I would really appreciate it.
pretty hard to go wrong with a M3.i drive a -02 tl-s and like it alot but its no bmwas far as feeling you being part of the car.born and raised in sweden i owned sevreal bmw's,i now have a family so no bmw .read some car mags and they will say it's pretty much the standard as far as a drivers car

Test drive the M3 and if you're impressed then go for it. To me it really doesn't make sense to go from a 01' to a 02 TL. Now if you were going from a 01 to an 05' then thats a whole different story! Do the M3 and play with that for awhile. If you miss driving the TL, then unload the M3 and get back in the Hondacamp!

Rusdaddy, actually going from an 01 to an 03 Really moving my 01 b/c if the tranny goes again I am pretty much screwed.
Both have clean carfax reports.
//M3=40k
03TL=25k
Need to go test drive the //M3..bottom line.
Thx for the quick responses
