Hello all:

I have bought a used 03 Acura TL a couple of months ago and it did not come with the manual

Anyway I have noticed that my right side mirror tilts when I put it in reverse if the mirror switch is in the middle. If it is in L position then it does not. Is there any way to make it not tilt while the switch is in the middle. Is there any combination on the remote that would turn this feature on or off?

I searched other threads but I could not find anything to this effect.

I really want it to not tilt down in reverse. This feature may be really helpful if you are in a city that requires you to parallel park a lot, but you don't really need it in Texas.

I could leave the switch to either L or R position and then it won't tilt but then I might end up in accidentally moving the mirror itself. I want the switch to be in the middle position and still be able to not tilt when in reverse.

i could b wrong but i dont think its supposed 2 tilt down when u put it in reverse... mayb an electrical problem

it suppose to tilt dowm when you put it in reverse if you put mirror switch is in the middle.

i don't think there isnt any way to turn that off. just memory your seat then it will save your mirror position too. if you accidentally moving the mirror, just press memory seat.

I have an 02 Tl and my right mirror goes down in reverse as well. I believe it's supposed to and I don't think it's an electrical problem. Maybe it just might come in handy in case there is a pressure sensitive bomb next to the curb that you wouldn't have otherwise seen without that mirror.

especially helpful for parallel parking
if you don't need it......don't reverse....
