I have a feeling that I will have to bee fixing my Tranny on my 03 type s with 130k miles( very rapid/ violent downshifting )

How much is it going to cost to switch my 5 spd auto to a 5spd or 6 spd manny??? Instead of just a regular tranny rebuild or swap?

if you take a look at the threads, it'll show you how much the parts are. that will give you a general idea on what to spend on parts alone.
labor at shops are dependent on shops.
one guy might be able to do it for $600 but the other guy down the street charges $1200.

your best bet is to call different shops in your area to get a general quote, then if you so choose to go to their shop, haggle and get the price down.

no i know that. the cost of a shop doing the labor is discussed in the 6 spd swap threads though.

total will be around 3500-4500 if i recall correctly. go around and get some quotes.

And to just do a regular tranny ffrom auto to another auto would be like what 2 at a shop?
