Hello everyone I recently took my 02 TLS into the dealership because I noticed the VSA light on. Well was I in for a surprise I was told that my VSA modulator had went bad and that it needed to be replaced and that the part was $1961 installed new and $868 installed new. Anyone have any exp w\ this any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

any back story to this??- work done on brakes- driven thru deep puddles--

 

I havent driven through any puddles. I had my brakes replaced at the dealership last year. The only work I had done recently was suspension work. The VSA light first started out by turning on then it would sometimes turn off, then it just started staying on so I took it to the dealership. According to the write up they gave me they did the following: Inspected VSA motor for DTC 53 (?), Motor did not run. Found bad ground repaired bad ground but still did not run. Hot wired motor. Did not run. Diagnosed bad modulator Assy Also had bad side mount listed....

 

the lights that are on are the VSA, ABS and the triangle w/ the !

 

I also recently had the front engine mount replaced

 

The VSA modulator is the piece that looks like a throttle body ? If so I have 2 of them. I removed them from when I converted my cars to manual transmissions.
