02 TL fog light lens replace

When I bought my tl I didn't have fog lights in it and I am just now getting around to get them. The only junkyard in my are that has a TL has fog lights but the lense are broken, so they will sell my the broke pair for $10, it says I can buy a lexan lens on eBay for $40 bucks, how easy is it to replace just the lenses?

You can upgrade the fogs to HID beams for some serious output
If you need them for actual fog get 3000k color bulbs
for normal driving use 5000k which will match replacement bulbs your low beams need by now

If you need low beams - for the price these days, and our well known leakage issue that kills ballast, get an aftermarket kit for 60-100-200 dollars with all new HID system parts, will amaze you with the improvement
hidextra.com morimoto come to mind, another one has a pop up on here

Just remember that fogs lights on most cars are for show and can only really help during extreme fog or storms where you are driving really slow and need to see the lines of the road. Other than that they really add no visual performance under normal driving assuming your regular headlights are working correctly.

If you have any questions on lights go search Daniel Stern Lighting. This guy knows what he is talking about.

^ Its true! I sometimes roll very slow with my Fogs only for that "Guetto" roll like on the strip in Vegas and Such?. I cant see for shit for more than 10 meters and Bear in Mind I got HIDs on my Fogs...
Its funny because the OEM design doesn't even allow you to run Fogs only for actual Fog Light use! You have to do the Fog Light Mod to ENABLE that functionality.

fog lights are AUX lighting not solo or primary, and mostly good for use as daytime running lights where 5000k is a good color

HID makes them brighter but the issue of poor reflector design is key
Aftermarket small fogs mounted in the lower grill are awesome!
Fog lights yellow color is so it doesn't bounce back bright white light off the water particles and blind you

if you can see the lane edge line, that's what's important in fog,,
run into a semi ahead of you--that's just not looking or driving too fast for conditions!!
Staying ON the road between the lines = critical to safely finishing your trip

the original name for the white edge lines, back when few country roads had a centerline,,, was Fog Lines!
Here in Ca where heavy fog can be just over the next rise, sticking to the left lane (semis are in right lane) and watch the left lane edge line = that's what I care about

Instead of making a new thread: How easy is it to remove the fog lights? I have one that is corroded from water leaking into it somehow (still trying to figure out how that happened) but have a replacement. I'm trying to avoid jacking up the car if that's even possible.

Super easy.

Just remove the lower bumper cover
Unplug the bulb
Remove the single bolt holding the Fog Light assembly
Push out.

Maximum should take 1 minute to do.
