02 tl;s

I am thinking of buying the 02 tl"s" it has 81k miles. thinking of buying it for 5k. are there big problems with tl;s

The only realr problem would be the transmission, as you already know. Other than that, there have been a few smaller recalls, more recently such as the airbag inflator recall and such, but being you own a '00', your pretty much in the same boat.
The only problem that I've found with mine is that around 3800-4500 rpm that motor sounds so damn nice that I want to just punch it every chance I get!

ck the recalls were completed - some late 02-03 get a timing belt job free!
acura care 1-800-382-2238x5 for background info on car

see if you can buy an aftermarket warranty on the trans for full replacement if fails

that might be a problem since the car is salvage. pictures show it wasnt hit hard but the people who drove this car made the dual exhaust into single cricked pipe and the acura emblem front and back its red?? and interior badge on steering wheel is red too

those are all signs of

the car was probably ragged to shit.. i wouldnt buy it.

thats what i thought. i am not buying a car yet but just looking, would anyone recommend me a car about as fast as a type s like 4 door and not manual?

should i stay away from tl;s in the future because of tranny failures?

I'd love to get timing belt job for free! lol, is it regardless of mileage?? cuz i think mine is one of the late 03' models

Call the provided number...Its because of an issue with the tensioner I think, so they recalled the whole service. From what I understand its not completely free, but knocks about 80% off the price of the 105
