Hey Kuan48! Dude you've been writing up a storm! I see your reply on most all the messages. I tried to get a Greater Vancouver meet going a few weeks back but I only saw a limited response to my post. I know that there are lots of TL's out there in Lotusland. Maybe you could try again...perhaps a tour up to Whistler as someone already suggested.

What is Lotus, chinese gangster land or something?
That topic was actually on fire isn't it.
I guess we still don't have enough BC people on this board, but even just 5-6 cars meets be fun too.

Don't worry I won't copy ur mods, just wondering about which shop is good.
Any of ya know good shop to go,
any good chinese owned or, non-chinese owned
Sometimes, white people do a better job, eventhough might cost more, cause no cash deal.

Thanks for your compliments!
I installed the taillights and the grill myself and I got the springs from a shop in Richmond called "Deutsch Tech motors". The owner installed the spings for me and he did a pretty good job. Too bad my TL doesn't have any insurance rite now and I miss driving it around.
So, has anyone checked out the 02 TL yet? I'm going to Burrard Acura tomorrow..and see what parts will fit in my 00' TL. (hmmm..cup holder, foglights switch....)

That I am not so sure, I was also asking people recommand shop for me.
Spoiler wise, Dealers( Acura.ca )'s price is $638.33 CDN not including labour, but price is probably negotiatble.
This site is $279 USD, and $25 for shipping and here is a BC site :http://www.roadhousesales.com/frameset1.cfm. Go to product and look for Acura TL.
They offer Factory-like spoiler for $190.74(not including shipping and labour) but sounds like the best offer so far.
You can also check this out:http://www.polyshineauto.com/polys/indexframes.htm, u got to contact them for quote.
Good luck. I have not yet got my car( on order ), so I am gonna lay back a bit( mods wise). But do let me know what u find , price and shop wise.

Hi. I'm driving a TL-S wednesday in Langley. If I like it I'll either buy one or order one. I won't take one that other people have thrashed. If I get one I'm game for a meet. Sounds like a lot of you are into mods, I'm too old for that but still want a fast ride. Cheers.

Ya, TLs are nice car eh!
I just found out something too.
If u compare what we pay and what people in the states pay for our their TLs. We are getting some kick ass deal here in Canada.
Check this out : http://en.carpoint.msn.ca/vip/Overvi...ra/TL/New.aspa
and http://en.carpoint.msn.ca/vip/Overview/Acura/TL/New.asp
Notice something we pay $36,000(no navi) MSRP and they pay $28,550(non navi). Which works to be a 1.2609455709 currency differce.
In most of other American car ( GM, Chysler, Ford) it is very close to the ratio. But if u compare brands like BMW, Infiniti, MB, Lexus and check that ratio, they are all very close to that the actual exchange rate 1.45.
Hope u guys get what I am saying, just bring out a trust worthy Canadian car buying guide and compare with C/D buying guide( Car and Driver or something else), U will easily know what I am talking about. Or doing more MSN carpoint comparison like above.
So, TL is not only a nice, it's a bargain.
For under $40K u get something in my opinion more than ES300, 323i, and C230 for $10K less.
Hey, U all already know this, but just don't talk about it. Than forgive for doing so, and don't start. Because we don't want everybody running to get a TL or Americans crossing the border to buy Acuras here.

Yes, it's a very good deal if you figure the exchange. I don't know whether my dealer was BSing but he told me that people buying the MDX have to sign something saying they won't sell the car in the states.

There are some differences though, I have a US and Canadian brochure and the color selection is different, we don't get seat belt pre-tensioners, they get four channel ABS and we get three. There could be other differences but that's what I noticed.

I don't think that there is that big a demand for the car though, every dealer has some sitting on their lot. Feliz.

Umm, interesting about the MDX thing.
Yes, I do notice that there is many differences in our cars and their cars. However, they are too small to make a great difference. Maybe the Navi is quite big.
I don't know how is the demand on the East coast, but for example my dealer had 7 pre-orders of the 02 TL-S before. It was in mid Feb, too.
It was Burrard Acura in Vancouver, I ordered TL-P, but I have not seen it (02 cars) yet.
I live on Vancouver Island for school right, so I Just Saw it at Victoria Acura. Holy, was I impressed. I have seen like almost 100 pix already, but it is very different in person. The front looks unreal, so nice.
I know 01 and before owners are very upset because 02 coming. I know all the people who is bad mouthing about front grill is VERY VERY jealous. Cause the only thing I didn't or people didn't like about the TL was the front( too fat ), and Honda designers simply made it better.
Very nice car. Just saw it!!!!
Maybe I am the last person here to see it.
Victoria are soo slow at everything, but beatiful city though.

Hi, I have ordered 02 TL-P since mid Feb and my dealer said the car would be here by mid March, but now he says April 11th.
Which pisses me off. It is Burrard Acura I am talking about. I am just wondering have any of u guys seen any 02 TL-P( premium, or non-S)in dealers or on the streets yet.
If so, which dealer? ( Not that I am too lazy to go places to check, because I go to Uvic and I am stuck on the Island) Also does any of u are in the same shoes as I am, if so when are u guys getting urs and from who? Thanks Guys
If u can't tell the difference bet. Type-S and Non-Type-S here are some pix.( It is kinna hard to tell).

Went to Lougheed Acura today for servicing and saw only the TL-S. There were no non-S there. Very nice car... except the front. Just doesn't appeal to me. Looks like an American car. I guess everyone has their own opinion of it.

I do like the different leather seats, memory seats and the 6-disc changer. The mags look nice as well. However, I don't know about the non-S mags in the picture that Kuan posted. It looks like old Accord mags or something. Especially with the tire gaps in the 02, they look like 15's. Maybe they look better in person.

But a TL is an awesome car regardless of the year!!!

Thanks guys, I have actually went down to my dealership over the weekend. Ya, it seems like there are only TL-S in BC or say Canada. It is because our TL-P is different in many ways than the states. Example passenger side rear view mirror doesn't tilt when in reserve mode, suspension, just some stuff. So, I guess that is why the people from the states on this board had seen some many P already and we have not seen one.

Well anyway, I just wait.
For the Wheels on the TL-P, I don't know myself either. It is 16' wheel but it does look like some old Accord wheel and the gap do look huge.
I just hope it looks better in person too.
Thanks again. We will have to talk more about the meet again, once the gets warmer. Nice can't wait.
