With CAI and custom exhaust after the CAT, they take me from a dig but on a roll I hang if not pass on the top end, keep in mind this is only with the Type S AUTO, I get beat by the MT

It would be a close race with the 07-08 TL-S pulling up top. Both 2nd and 3rd gen TL-S auto seem to pull similar 60ft times and 0-60 times. Its when 3rd gear comes along the 3.5L shows its strength over the 3.2L with almost a 3MPH higher trap speed at the end of the 1/4 mile compared to the 2nd gen. Now slap a mod or two on the 2nd gen and the race gets tighter!

like we said, the base 3rd Gen 6mt can edge out the 3rd Gen Type S auto.
you barely kept up with the Auto... the 6mt will get the best of your 2G...

our autos (including the 07-08's) seem to have like an 20% loss in power while the manual is only like 10%, so you are talking a good 25-30 hp extra getting to those wheels, let alone tighter gearing, which allows the engine to stay closer to where it makes peak power (but a shitty driver can also totally screw up the shifts though, and make it actually slower, where an auto, you just kinda mash the gas)
then also the manuals are probably a good 150-200 lbs lighter then the autos, which also helps to make them faster
