Well, Im coming down I - 35 from Dallas and going about 80 mph. There was the audi coming really fast from behind and I saw him and started speeding up. He slowed down and we where side to side going about 80. He gunned it, I gunned it. He kept pulling slowly and slowly until about 110. At the end, he was about 3/4 to a car length and front of me and he could have still kept going if we didnt slow down.

what gives? I thought those things had less hp than tl-p??? I had my a/c off too. Im pretty sure he had is a/c on because i followed him down for about 60 miles going 95 the whole time.

well since you have the power of seeing into his car (a/c was off?) then you should have used the power to check under his hood.

maybe he was modded? i was "racing" my bois a4 with my tl-p and he seemed to be able to gain on me as well. but i think there is sumthin wrong with my car cus its been kinda sluggish lately.

The A6 is all wheel drive. That is always a plus, depending on the road conditions. I like the fact that your where honest about the race. I am getting a German ride next too! The TL is gona be my daily driver, if the tranny holds.

The A/C when it is on take power away from your engine. With the A/C off you have the engine's full power on tap. In simple terms for you, best to race with the A\C off.

from looking at the specs of the audi, i think i should have beaten it. It weighs more than my tl-p and it has less hp.

If you are Racing, most likely you are WOT at which point the TL shuts the A/C compressor off automatically...

You should have raped him if it was an A6 and not an S6. The quattro will help his launch but you should still beat him by atleast 2 car lengths if hes automatic.

When you pop the hood of the audi A6 you notice a huge valve cover and the ram air intake that comes stock lol. beatiful car.
