yeah what happened to the car that it needs new airbags.... check carfax.... if its got a new motor then it possibly has a new gauge cluster which says that it has 68xxx miles on it.... you need to verify before you buy.... haha that rhymed.

you should really just have posted this in the same thread as your other one....

please dont make a new thread for every car that you find...... it would be a waste of space.... just add into the same thread.

Well it's obviously been in an accident so I'm guessing the car is most likely a salvage title. With the reputation of the transmission going out I would save my money and buy one with a clean title. Acura will NOT cover a transmission on a salvage car. That would mean buying a new transmission for about 3500-4000 from the dealer or at least 2500 to have it rebuilt at a decent tranny shop. Hope this helps.

call acura with the VIN number of any car you like- assuming you stop looking at cars that need new airbags! those you run away from fast
Acura can tell you a lot about the car- 1-800-382-2238 x5

If you are looking to buy a TL on a budget- get a different car- NOTHING on these is cheap to fix, it requires premium everything and demands attention at 100k miles to the tune of a grand or more

be careful buddy

definately go through the proper channels in checking that car out before you become another statistic of people screwed over in used/salvage title sales

:troutslap Whoa boy, stop looking unless he's giving the car away ! It seems rather strange that somebody would invest money @ Acura for replacing a motor and not follow through with the air bags. Something smells fishy.......what's the guy's story ? Read the receipt over and then go to the Acura dealership who replaced the motor and get the real scoop. I'm surprised that he even told you about needing the air bags, if he really wanted to "scam" you good.
