Hey guys ,

I have a 01 Acura Tl with the 3.2 Vtech engine and a bad tranny ...
long story short I bought the car many years ago with a warranty on the tranny , because I reserched a little and found out that that year had transmission problems all around ...

the warranty covered 4 years , in those 4 years I’ve had to “replace” the tranny with “AmcoTransmission” who gladly accepted the job under the warranty I bought trough the dealer , 3 times in 4 years ...

I’m not sure if they rebuild my tranny , or if they put a new one in but theyr words where that they used a brand new one , every time they did the work ...

now I finally reached warranty limit and I’m not wanting to do the same thing again , because it obviously never really permanently fixed the problem, that tranny seems like it is just build wrong and it fails and starts slipping every 40.000 miles or so , its not supposed to be like that ...

so I reserched some more and found out that some people actually put a accord transmission in the acura , and that it permanently fixes the problem ...

so my questions to you are :
Can I put a Honda Accord tranny in my 01 Acura tl 3.2??
If yes , what are the things I need to know before doing such a swap ?
And what year and model/submodel accord tranny would I need to get ?
part number ?
