I apologize for bringing this up again but i can't find the answer and hate to blow 3k. I was talking to a company called ozmotive out of California about purchasing a reman av6 (baya) transmission from them. They told me that i can't do the swap on my 2000 because the 2000 (has a built in cooler on top). So is my 00 different from the 01-03? If it still works in my car what do i need to tell the transmission shop to do? Thanks! I appreciate any help!

 

Look at the 'Requirements' area on the first page of the attached document regarding whether an 00TL is qualified.

Print out the attachment & give it to your mechanic for instructions on the parts to swap.

 

^ - Correct. I had no issues swapping the transmission on a 2000 TL a few months ago. Just follow the directions (or have the shop follow the directions) exactly and it will be easy.

 

Did you have any issues with torque converter? I read another thread that mentioned the 00 used two different trannys and i might have to get a Honda odyssey tq. Thanks!
