Question 0-60?

Can anyone tell me once and for all, what is our 0-60 time for the 2000+ TL-P? Is that timed using the SS. Also, do you guys( and gals) feel that the automatic enabling of the TCS hinders or helps that 0-60 time.

well i don't have numbers for tlp off my head but i think it would be high 6 or early 7. and i believe those numbers are with power braking.

and also i think without tcs it's faster. at least for our tls it's faster without vsa.

ok...these are from magazines...

1999 7.2sec
2000+ 6.7sec
TL-S 6.3sec

of coz the magazines are using power brakes...and i believe they are using full auto becoz they claimed they were slower with using SS...

without power brakes...the magazines got late 7-8 seconds flat for the 2000+ models...

and TCS will slower ur acceleration because it will prevent wheel spin and cuts of the fuel

Actually i thought that Road & Track did the 2000 TL-P 0-60 in 7.2 seconds. it does feel faster than that though

well i know for sure that for our tls, the vsa will take power away from the engine so prevent the tires from chirping (it doesn't brake, so i assume that's also the case for tcs, but not 100% sure

the traction control in TL-P is just a conventional tractoin control system....only cuts off fuel when it has wheel spin...

TL-S has the VSA which brakes the wheels that are in spin or out of control
