NO NEED to double post. Apparently nobody has tested the 0-60 times yet. If they had, you would have gotten some replies on your first post.

Hey man,

Don't worry about the guy with the attitude. I've had my TL-S for over 585 miles now -- i've raced it several times (only recently -- post-500 miles mark) and here are some stats:

my personal, unscientific result produced 6.3 seconds w/ a 15.0 1/4 mile time. However, I did have the opportunity to drag race my friend's Buick Regal GSE and narrowly edge him out -- you can certainly check the stats for this car -- Buick Regal w/ 240 hp supercharged engine -- running the 0-60 in 6.3 to 6.6 according to many enthusiasts w/ stock specs. We both got identical starts and had great traction. In my first race against him, he had a better reaction time, and was always 1/2 car length ahead of me. He didn't gain on me though, and we ended at about 80 mph. I think in 3rd gear (i only let it run 1/2 way to 5000 rpms -- cuz of cops in the area) it would have got the best of him -- who knows.

The second race, we had equal r.t.'s and I think I edged him out because in the corner of my eye, i seemed to gain on him. I used SS, but it didn't matter because it auto shifted from 1 to 2nd at about 6800 rpms, and then i only made it half way through 3rd.

Smile -- it's a quick car.

Well , I don't know exactly who you are responding to because all Nstigatr19 wanted to know was whether or not 0 - 60 times had been published or not.
vandy786 bitc* slapped him by saying " NO NEED to double post and told him that nobody had tested this yet. My response was to that so I don't understand who you are trying to console.
I hope you are right when you say the Stock TL-S gets 0 - 60 in 6.3 - 6.5 !! I was just answering the original question.
Chill my fellow Flat Lander .

Hey, chill out guys. I'm sorry but there were two post in a row by this guy asking about 0-60. All I meant was that if someone had personally tested them on this forum, they would have responded to his first post. Sorry if I offended anyone.

No offense to anyone.

The car was meant to be a sport-sedan -- heck, the term "sport-sedan" is plastered all over the 2002 brochure. The car is made to be drive hard while still delivering a crisp, seamless amount of performance. No offense to anyone, honest, we're all enthusiasts, and we should enjoy our cars!

Race on.

Thumbs up

I tested mine and came up with 6.5 sec 0-60. That was with about a 1/2 full tank and my almost 300 lbs behind the wheel. Not too shabby. I have a feeling that it will be even faster (1) after it is broken in and (2) I lose 70 lbs!!!! HA HA HA HA

CL Type S owners have regularly achieved sub-6 scores on the 0/6 and 14.2-14.5's w/ Comptech headers & exhaust mods. Check out the cl website -- you'll even find posts of scanned time slips. Those guys take their fun seriously, as they should! Rock on.

Well, first of all PeterUbers was only trying to reply to Nstigatr19 and telling him to not mind vandy786's sarcasm. I know, u guys solved by saying "oh oh no offense, but GRV6668 is really the guys who don't know what he is talking about.
C/D's article on the TL-S in the March issue was really only preview, and it says right there that it was a "Manufacturer's performance ratings" and usually they are a bit off. C/D's test results are pretty reliable I would say( 5 years subscriber and I buy other Mags too), so let's just wait for the professionals do their job.
Chill out all of you.
Call me judge Kuan.

Or... people secure enough in their position in life that they no longer need to impress other people with the type of car they drive. I traded in a M-B on a TL-S, and dude; it had nothing to do with my income. You'll also find that directly attacking the moderator of a forum is bad. Bye bye...

Well Pjonkeer for a 24 year old driving a TL-S paid for 100% in cash with money I earned, I am doin just fine wouldnt you say?? I wonder what I will be drivin in say 5 years when I had time to really save money. By then who knows maybe the next TL-S or the next GS430. I consider Lexus to be on the same tier as Acura. In fact I say the TL is far superior to the ES300 which is its main competition, and I am not alone in this thinking.

Also genius for what I paid for the TL-S with navigation, I could have just as easily bought an ES300. All told with tax a TL-s with Navi comes out to $36k+. I paid in cash; Its amazing what kind of car you can get with that kind of down payment isnt it; and trust me I am well aware of what my options were.

I bought the perfect car for me to drive and have fun with; not to impress others. If your life is so empty that this is what you need a car for, then I truely pity you.

Is someone a little pissed that I erased his useless rants?? Get over it loser. You claim to own all these cars but yet find all this time to visit and flame a forum for a car that you dont even own??? Hmmmmmmmmmmm Anyone else find this just a bit odd???? How about you "DUDE"??? Maybe with all this $$$ you imply you have you could buy yourself a life, or do you want me to send you a quarter????? I can swing it.

With this kind of mentality and free time on his hand to try and impersonate another board member, I have no doubt that pjonkheer is some punk kid sitting at home who may not even be old enough to drive yet. How about it? Got your license yet?? Before you deny anything, the IP addresses of Pjonkheer and PeteUbers are Identical.

How truly sad you must be................... Where do you want me to send that quarter?
