congrat on the new car...i waxed my car after the first week i got it.

Which wax do you guys use? I have tried almost every wax on the shelf and i still think Turtle Wax is the best. I used all kinds of meguires products, mothers, Luster sh*t, etc. i still go back to Turtle Wax and Polish. I think its the best wax of all them other companies...oh Meguires has some nice polish and swirl remover products..havnt tried Zaino yet but i will soon..

You're kidding right? Turtle Wax? You need to try ZAINO ASAP.....Do a search for Zaino on this forum and do some reading..there is no comparison...

Same here... I've been using Mother's since day one. I picked the car up on a Tuesday, washed it with Dawn, claybarred it, and used both the polish and Carnuba waxes on that following Saturday, so the car was just about 4 days old before I did the procedure. Been using Mother's ever since. It's so easy, and the shine is very close to Zaino. Plus, when I run out, I can just go to the autopart store that's a 1/2 mile down the road and get more!!

To answer this guy's question, I have heard that you should not wax your car right off the bat as the paint is still drying/setting whatever you want to call it.

I've had other cars where the manufacturer specified no waxing for the first 2-3 months. I'm not taking chances with my new Acura!

FYI, They detail the car when they get off the truck, this includes wax/polish. This is what my friend told me, he's a Acura service manager

On a factory finish you really only need to wait 30 days, if you have repair work and repainting done by an autobody shop you need to wait at least 3 months.

I've been using Mothers, for a while. I always bought the clay bar
kit. But, just last weekend, I clayed, waxed, clayed and rewaxed.
It looked GREAT, but all this week it rained. Just yesterday I thought
I'd give it a quick water wash (no soap) and dirt was stuck to the paint!
It was a pain in the butt to wash. As much as it is a pain to order,
I'll be going back to zaino. I've finally been converted... it took time
but I admit it. I still don't think it looks any better than wax, but
last summer, one day of the zaino treatment, made for easy washing
almost all year long.

just fyi on my experiences...
