TL-S IS SELLING FOR $41 000 CDN. THIS IS CLOSE $1000-3000 MORE THAN WHAT DEALERS AND MOST PEOPLE IN CANADA EXPECTED AND WITH A POSSIBLE RECESSION COMING, I HIGHLY DOUBT SALES FOR THIS CAR ARE GOIN TO BE TOO GREAT. HOWEVER, I DID REALLY LIKE THE TL-S BUT READ MY POST WITH THE HEADLINE "SIGH..." TO GET ALL MY THOUGHTS ON THE TL-S. IN ADDITION, SINCE CANADA DOESN'T HAVE NAV SYSTEM, THE TL-S W/O IT LOOKS HORRIBLE!!!!!!! IT IS SO EMPTY WHERE THE NAV SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO BE AND EVEN THE OTHER CONTROLS ARE AFFECTED BY IT. IT JUST LOOKS A LOT LESS CLASSY AND A LOT MORE LIKE A HONDA ACCORD.

$41,000 Canadian is about $27,000 US. If you're certain that that price was for the TL-S, please tell me again about the price differential between autos selling in the US vs Canada. I seem to recall that cars were somewhat less expensive in Canada.

sorry about the caps lock......but yes, TL are cheaper in Canada. The MSRP is $36 000 here whereas it's $28500 in the states. However, with all that said, making money in the states is a lot easier than in canada becuz the a recent study says u guys now make almost equivalence money as we do. (about 10 years back, if people in the states made $10000 a year, then we would make basically the same amount except that if $1US buys $150 Cdn, then we would make $15000) but now, if u make $40 000, then we make $40 000, except that we make it in cdn funds so u guys really benefit and have higher wages.

The CL-S has been listed for ~$40,500 Cdn. So it is obvious that the TL-S is expected to be listed at more or less the same price.
If you expected the listed price to be (Cdn$) $41,000 - $3,000 = $38,000, then Honda might just as well build all TL's to be TL-S because no one is going buy the regular TL for just the $2K Cdn difference.

Well I expected the $38 000 because quite a few dealers told me probably $38 000-$40 000. A lot of them even said that there was a better chance it will be at $38 000 than $40 000 becuz the CL-S didn't sell as well as Acura wanted over the past year, and they didn't want the TL-S to start off on the wrong foot like the CL-S. Most people were turned off the CL-S becuz of it's price tag, and most people at $40 000 would rather go buy the BMW 3series coupe. Low and competitive pricing is the main factor for Acura getting where it is now.
