It should be a little narrower: from 38mm to 45mm. The ones some of have bought in the 8.5" width are 38mm offset.

Good luck,

Good luck,

Thanks for the answer.
I checked out the wheel 5x120-18x8-40 mm off set on one of the website and this is what they told me:

The offset on the Privat wheel is not high enough to fit your vehicle.

Regrettably we do not have any wheels that will fit your vehicle.
The data on our website is incorrect and we will be fixing it shortly.

Thank you

I have read about this problem with the RL. The 4 piston brake calipers require a lot of clearance and even the new RonJon Legend wheels had to be slightly redesigned, the offset going from 45 mm to 41 mm. He calls them retardedly huge brake calipers

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...4&page=2&pp=25

The Acura A-Spec wheels which maintain the 55 mm offset must be some piece of design work. I guess that also says the car is so heavy that it really needs these big brakes. I think the brakes are very good, by the way.

+38 fits perfectly on the car, easily clearing the calipers. Many shops selling wheels think the car requires a +45, but they are wrong. The 5Zigen rep had to set Discount straight when I got my rims....

Jay,

I told them that some people installed rims +38mm to +41mm without any problem and this is what they sent me in the email.

Here is the copy from the email.

Seems like they would stick out from the fenders with that width and offset.

So they will certainly bolt on but not fit properly.

Thank you

I guess it depends on how you define fitting properly. When they say "with that width" are they referring to 8.5"? You can see pics of my car, they don't protrude beyond the fender, but they do "fill it", the way it should look IMHO. It gives the car a much more aggressive look and the drive/feel is excellent. I painstakingly went through looking into different rims for the car and am very happy with my final choice. You may want to talk with another company, I'm not sure if "Buy Wheels Today" is good or not, never heard of them.

I did forget to mention that my rims are 19".

Jay,
Thanks for all your help.
I know you have 19" rims.

They meant 8.5 width

My pleasure. I wish I could show you my car in person. The pics just don't do it justice. It looks "sick". Let us know what you finally end up with!
