TPMS Error code

Anyone ever get a TPMS 38 error code. My TPMS system is erratic. Sometimes it gives a warning sometimes it acts normal. Any thoughts. Sometimes the pressure in the rear drivers tire is 58, sometimes 33 ,sometimes 3 dashes. Had new tires installed at the dealer 3 weeks ago.

No idea why your codes are erractic. Is it the rear drivers tire only? Should be covered under warranty since it is a safety issue. Hapened only after new tire installation? Which tires did you get?

Could the sensors have been damaged when the new tires were installed?

Seems too early for a new battery, which I have read is supposed to be 7-10 years; time to go to the dealer and use that warranty.

The dealer sold me some take offs (wheels and tires) , all four less the sensors. He had to transfer the sensors from the original wheels. Maybe one did get damaged in the transfer. But you would think it would have shown up right away. These tires have been on for 3 weeks.

Chas2 mentions the battery and he does have a point. I was getting notified all four tires low pressure. I checked them and they were all at recommended. A week later for some reason or other, maybe lack of use, the battery was dead and I mean dead. It took 24 hours to recharge it. After that the tire pressure notification was gone. Was this coincidence or does a low battery condition have an affect on the tire sensor info ?

hey i was just at the dealer today about that .. i had a sensor go bad due to a crack valve stem.. long story short..they replaced it with new sensor.. the tire pressure light went away .. but after a while it came back again. the car drives perfectly fine..so i brought it back the tech told me they need to run a test that will take all day long and he said maybe its my daily route of commuting to work .. he said " gaint transformer box from the street signals can trigger these sensor off " haha my tire pressure light is still on i gotta bring it back to them agn .
