Tire Fitment and Use
Found my A spec wheels and beinging refinished, my question is relative to the tires themselves.
The stock tire size for 18's is 245 45 18 I believe. I have a set of tires 245 40 18 (

What was the question? ![Tongue](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Get the proper load rating, and you will be fine.

I was trying to determine if the tire size I had would fit, it does but I did not check load rating. Is that the same as the max load stated in kgs and lbs on the tire? If so I cant readily find that on tire rack on their tires for sale or where the load rating recommendations are for the RL.

Load rating is the number following the tire size and before the speed rating.
245/45/18 93W
93 in the example above. If you are looking at tirerack there is tons of info there about how to read the sidewall including load rating and speed rating, etc........

Typically, load ratings and sidewall heights are proportional. Your alternate tire size has a smaller sidewall, so that is why I brought it up. Some models have better load ratings for smaller side walls than others, but your load rating is a critical safety metric and should always be used appropriately.

Thanks for pointing this out. Though it may never be an issue Im not a huge risk taker and rather be safe than sorry.
