Show us your aftermarket and OEM wheels on your RL

So you had an RL that you put H&R springs and Wedssport SA-55's on and you sold it. You bought another RL and are putting H&R's and SA-55's on it as well. Have you banged your head on a wall telling yourself, "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid." yet?

Yes. I'm experimenting with black and silver. I'm doing silver tomorrow as the black stands out too much. My chrome trim was chipped in areas. If silver looks bad I'll paint match the chrome and call it a day.

Dang man. I was really debating between an RL and a TL. I decided to go with a TL instead. But seeing your car makes me wish I kind of went with an RL. I love the looks for the 2nd gen. Great job with the car. Wheels set it off quiet well.

That's cool. Well too bad I didn't get an RL. At least my wife could still drive it. My TL she can't. Oh well. Still love my car. I was curious, does the car feel sluggish? Seems like it would since it's so heavy and only a V6.

Very nice. Too bad I already purchased my TL. I was really torn between 3 cars. 2005 RL, 2004-2006 TL, or 2005 Sub Legacy Wagon. I wanted an Evo or STi, but they were way out of my price range. I bought used mind you. I decided to go with a 2006 TL in RBP. 6 speed.

Test Fit New Wheels...
Here are a few shots of the new TSW Stowe 19x9.5 ET20, will have 245/35/19 tires and dropped on coilovers next week.
Also take note that this car has the Mugen M1 wide body..... which will allow pulling of the fenders for flush fitment when done. Stay tuned!

Great 18" wheel option for your RL
Check out Velocity Motoring at Home Page - VMR Wheels
These guys make VMR wheels. I just ordered the V810 and they really did me right.
18x8.5-45mm offset 5x120mm bolt pattern. They even did a custom hub center bore for my RL at 64.1mm, so NO hub rings.
These are well made using the same rotary forged rim rolling technique that Enkei does. Best of all... A set of 4 shipped to me was only $1200.
Check it out.

More VMR Pics
Here are some more pics of my VMR wheels. BTW, they are very light too. At 18 x 8.5" they only weight 20.1 lbs. each.
That's almost a 9 lb. PER WHEEL drop in unsprung weight from my stock 17" wheels! There's another 2.4 lbs. if you factor in the tires. The car literally reacts instantly to the slightest steering input. It's amazing.

06 RL with 10 TL wheels
Here is my other 06 RL with TL wheels. I used 6mm spacers. They sit almost flush with the fenders. No vibration at all.
To your question on the Michelin MXM HX4, they are a grand touring tire and have a very soft sidewall which offers a squishy cornering experience which aside from gas mileage takes away from the SH-AWD experience. I switched to Michelin Pilot Sport AS3's on this and Pilot Super Sports on my other one
