Run-flat Cost
In yesterday's local paper, there was a "Car Talk" column concerning the run-flat tires on the Honda Odyssey. There were some very interestiong points made:
1. The tires don't last very long - 32K!
2. They cost three times what regular tires cost.
3. Some dealers do not have the equipment or expertise to replace them.
4. Conventional tires are not compatible with run-flat wheels.
5. If you change to conventional tires and wheel, the TPMS will not be compatible.
6. Some dealers require that the tires and wheels be replaced.
7. Mounting costs can be $100 per tire.
This sure makes one carefully consider getting the CMBS-Pax package on the RL.
