RonJon Rev versus RonJon Legend on Silver 05 RL

Which do you like better - the RonJon Revs or the RonJon Legends?

Using Supergreen's car as the model, I wanted to see what the new RonJon Rev would look like on a silver RL. Since I haven't seen it on an RL other than 037's ride (which looks great with the Revs!), I created the photochop below. Which do you think looks better on the 05-08 silver RL - the Legends or the Revs? I've always really liked the Legends, and have considered getting these, but now I'm torn between the Legend and the Rev. I think both look really great!

Legend's make the RL look like TSX IMO, Revs! I might be a little biased...

get them in 32 offset, they stick out much more and look like you went with a 10" rim all around.

So are you getting the GT-M with the red line or the regular Rev with no accent?

I think if I pull the trigger and get them, I would get the regular Rev with no accent. How about you Mr. Tea? If you go with them are you going to get the regular Rev with no accent or the Rev GT-M with the red line?

Of course, if you get the GT-M, you would have to work with Ron to get the PCD adjusted, similar to what 037 went through. Probably an up charge on that service.

Regular Rev, not red line.

I must be the only one here, but I have always liked the Legends, not that I would buy them, but I like em. The Rev's are nice as well, but I will stick with my Aspec rims.

If you really like the Revs ... go to tirerack.com and take a look at the Elbrus I02 wheels. They look VERY similar, the price is right and the the quality is outstanding. I have them in 18" and i love them.

Now that you have chosen a wheel style, you will find several that have a similar look at all different price ranges. Make sure understand what you are getting, and that you get the appropriate fitment guarantee from your retailer, and all associated hardware, such as TPMS, hubcentric rings (with the notable exception of RonJons, which have the right hub size) and that you get the correct lug nuts. Your OEM lugs are unlikely to fit aftermarket wheels due to the seat.

Also, try to get the lightest wheel possible with the goal that the entire wheel tire combination is the same or less than the OEM 17's

Although there a few similiar wheels out there, I think I like the look of the Rev. Now I just need to convince the wife that I "need" these.

037, when you bought yours from RonJon, did you have them add tires? Or did you get them separately? What tires did you go with and how much did they cost?

I was secretly eyeing those as well. RJ's are 22.5lb, those are 26lb.

I believe RJs will hold up better over time as his reputation is stellar.

of course, can't forget the uber low offset that he can get away with. 32 offset pushes the tire out and makes it look like you're riding on 9" rims.

pretty much everyone thought I moved up to 19"s with a wider tire. true story...

I photochopped a few more pics to show the Revs at different angles on a silver RL:

Question........ The chop pics are cool....but the legends in the original pics of super greens car were 19" wheels.... So are the chops making the revs look like they are 19" instead of their actual size of 18"????

Super greens car looks great in those pics. All the other cars in the ronjon gallery don't look nearly as good as his..why? Maybe his is one of the few rl's that are dropped on the gallery??

I notice that some of the things on RJs site are chopped, like the 1 image of my RL there sideways. In person they stick out more as you can see in the pics above. They are 18's as Rev's don't come in 19".

I agree..... At oem ride height the car looks lame..... It's not the wheels...it's the gap.... RON...can you chop those to make the car ride at the same height at super greens??

Also...those earlier photo chops that we're done superimposing the revs into super greens car....the legends he had were 19s.... And so when the revs were chopped onto his car....it essentially photoshopped the revs to look like 19" wheels... There is a visual difference between the look of 19s and the look of 18s.... I think the legends would actually look better if you put them up against 19" legends simply because the 19" wheels look so much better.

If the rev was made in a 19" size...then it would look great... The rl really looks the best on 19s. The oem 17s look pathetic. The 18s look better, 19s look great. 20+ looks weird...at least to me...

Super greens rl was sweet looking. I like how he did the front lip only...I think it looked great that way.
