Light weight rims
Does anyone know what is the weight for our 17 inch stock? I am shopping for a set of ultra light weight rim for my rl, but I need some numbers to compare with. I've read in various places that taking off 1 lb of rotating mass is the same as removing anywhere from 7 to 16 lbs elsewhere. Hopefully I can reduce 10 to 15 for each rim, therefore my car is around 300 ibs lighter during acceleration.

It will be VERY difficult, almost impossible to find good quality 17" rims that are 15 or even 10lbs lighter than OEM.
OEM rims are about 25-26lbs each. With a lot of searching and a LOT of $$$ you may find 17-18lbs rims but it won't be easy and you may not like the design.
The reason this is so difficult is the not so common bolt pattern the RL uses. There are many many nice, light weight 17" wheels out there but they will NOT fit the RL. Bolt pattern and/or offset will be different.
Also keep in mind that a light weight wheel does NOT always mean better performance. It is true that a few pounds of "rotational mass" can equal many more pounds in static weight, however, if the light weight wheel has poor weight distribution you will NOT get the expected benefits! In other words, a 21lbs wheels may not give you much better performance/acceleration when compared to 25lbs wheel IF the "21lbs wheel" has poor weight distribution/design. Replica wheels tend to have such issues.

Here is the wheel for you, nice and light weight with MAT construction so it should be pretty strong, and made by a reputable company (they also make Acura OEM wheels). May be pricey, but what light weight wheel is not?

And all the previous advice is good, and of course, you have to call Enkei for fitment and weights, but the ones they have posted are pretty darn good...
Let us know what you do.

Front brake caliper clearance is also an issue.
I must also mention load rating of such wheels.
The RL is not a light car and forged and multipiece wheels will generally have a lower load rating.
Ive looked as well but it seems the cheaper light weight wheels (2000 dollars or so) all look a little to race car like and will ruin the look of the RL.
I have found some very nice (classy/luxury looking)lightweight multipeice rims but I am not planning on spending 4000+ dollars on rims alone. Not a baller like that. lol (these prices were generally for 19 or 20 inch rims)

how much do you want to spend? That is kind of a key question. You can get something for $1300 (about $300 for each tire and wheel) or a lot more, the sky is the limit. Really lightweight wheels will cost you $10,000 a set, carbon fiber and magnesium.
