So, ever in the search for replacement wheels now that my tires are finally down to it, I dropped into my local Discount Tire to see whether any of the 6 or 7 wheels they have online (not counting color variations) were in the shop. There weren't, but they had over 24 wheels in the computer that they match to the RL.
Among them were Konig, and several of them weigh under 23lb per wheel. In fact, they show the Airstrike 18" at 21lb and $169/wheel. The Privat (Konig) Atlantik is also 21/169 in 18".
Konig lists several wheels, but no weights: KONIG
None of these wheels will display if I use their online features, because "they're not locally available" but the manager says they're 3 days away and he can order any of them with fitment guarantee.

I agree. i don't care for the first three, but the last one looks nice.
they can't tell you what they weigh? my experience is the cheape wheels tend to weigh a lot... there were some really nice looking 19" BMW knock offs on several cars here...but when I looked into them, they weighed a LOT...which likely detracts from handling, performance, mpg, etc....
the $$$ wheels are light.
funny how it is often that way... you get what you pay for...![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'd like to see a photoshop of that last wheel... it looks pretty cool....
let us know what you do!

update..
i googled aroudn for any links/sites that had images of these wheels, or discussions.. foudn this.. hope it helps..
http://www.clublexus.com/forums/the-...at-wheels.html
here is a thread where a guy put 20" versions of these on his new Accord... on page 1 of the thread he states he weighed the wheel/tire combo and it was 52.8. not sure if that figure helps?
here is teh link and a pic of his car...

also... I found privat's website..
http://www.konigwheels.com/Privat-Home
it lists these vulkans as "discontinued" wheels..... maybe why discount tire has such a good price...they are buying up whatever is left in stock? would this mean if you bought a set of 4, and at some point curbed one, or bent one.. you are out a whole set of wheels? b/c you wo't be able to find a replacement?
do you buy one spare? or just figure for hte cheap price of a set... risk it.. and figure if/when you ruin one.. you just buy a new set of wheels... ?
those do look nice.. for $169/wheel that's pretty good. what do they cost in 19"?

I have the manager chasing the Atlantik, Vulkan and grey Netz down for me today, verifying fitment and weights with Konig.

... I'm finding weights more like 25.5 and 26 listed for the Atlantik and Netz, on other sites. That seems more appropriate. Haven't found a weight on Vulkan

of those four you posted, I only liked the vulkan... too bad they discontinued it..
that atlantic one kind of looks like a ronjon rev to me... if I were buying wheels, i'd be tempted to get one MADE for a Honda/Acura fitment, like ronjon.. but not sure if pricing is similar... i also think the rev is only in 19... not 18.
if I did wheels, I think the 18s look good, but I think 19s look SWEET. not sure if the ride is much different... if you put the right tires on..maybe the ride would be very similar?
i have 17s on my RL. my parents have 18s. I can tell their car rides firmer than mine, but they recently changedfrom michelines to lesser $$ bridgestons..and even my mom complains that the car rides rough now... so the change in ride was more the tires than teh wheel size.... at least in my experience on their RL...
good luck Ballinger on getting new wheels... let us know what you end up getting. and be sur eto post pics!!

Pricing-wise, the 22.8lb Atlantiks are $169 and the 24lb Netz are $195.
I cannot find a single photo of Atlantiks mounted on a car, or even with a tire on them.

The Mugen kit is rad. I prefer a larger center-section on the rim. Currently saving pennies for either the Netz or Atlantik and a set of tires. Savagely, I went out and found a puddle of power steering blood under our truck and now have to get that one fixed first... never fails. Haha!

those privat wheels are about $1200 a set. ronjons are similar in price.
for them oney, i honestly liike the rev and revo wheels ronjon sells... id consider those too.
at leat you have aspec and the AEM. i'm curiosu how you like the intake. i'd be tempted to add taht to my car... not terribly pricey and i'll bet it sounds wicked awesome....

The Privats are $640-800 set, and I'd be rolling RonJon's if I could afford them... $1000 or more, minimum. At this point, I'll stretch these tires at least another month, so I can pay for the $#%@ truck and finish accruing my brake parts for the RL.

I'll throw another compliment in there. The black RL looks sweet. Change the rims and I'll go bitchin'. Just MHO.

Found him, MugenRL. Really is a sick car, but I can't get over the wheels. These are better (photoshop from MugenRL):
