How is the OEM TPMS mounted?

Does any here know how the TPMS sensor mounts on the rim?
Do I need to order the band to mount it?

Note:
I had ordered the 18" RonJon Legend rims and I also ordered 4 OEM TPMS from ebay $145.00 shipped. I am planning to order Firelli P-Zero M+S tires from Tirerack.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You will be fine. It is not band mounted, but mounted "behind" the valve stem on the inside edge of the rim. Certain rims cannot mount the OEM style TPMS, which is why they have the banded style.

When your installer mounts the tire, he will have to insert a valve stem. In this case, it will be the valve stem that attaches to the TPMS. Take a look on the Acura e-store catalog, under Parts for your car, and you can see the schematic.
