Question Feedback on wheels?

I'm looking to get some new wheels to replace my a-specs..want to stay with 18x8.

Saw some deals on tireRack...what do you guys think of these?

1. Sport edition se-14:

OR

2. Platinum Mantis:

OR

3. Elbrus 102:

OR

4. Focal F04:

OR

5. Avarus AV7 (looks similar to the A-specs)

I'm not sure about the quality of these brands, but i don't have much $ to spend. plus I gotta get tires & tpms too.

Personally, I'm not crazy about any of them.

1-Looks like Infiniti G wheels
2-Looks like Mustang wheels
3-Incredibly outdated style
4-Horrific looking
5-Just don't like them for an RL

All of these are cheap wheels. Equivalent to Discount Tire's MB brand or Drag wheels. I recommend spending a little bit more money and getting a higher quality wheel like TSW or Enkei. Still not going to break the bank but at least they are a quality wheel.

Yes, the Mirabeau's will fit. My Londrinas are still for sale. They are 20's, but you will be getting a significantly higher quality wheel for just a little bit more money. Once the weather decides to be nice around here the Jerez are going on and the Londrinas are going up on eBay. I'd rather sell to somebody on here. Let me know if you're interested.

I wish I had four hands. So I could give those rims four thumbs down. You can get a better rim if you look harder. Try elementwheels.com

I think the Avarus look nice on the RL. The split 5 spoke is similar to Aspec. Considering Carbon has 18x8" of a wheel on your list for sale...

i kinda like the tsw mallory...what offset do i need for 18x8? 35 offset? is it the lower the offset = the more clearance for brakes?

tough decisions...1st world problems

Numbers alone cannot guarantee fitment. The seller should guarantee fitment.

you should just buy carbons wheels since they are in mint condition and they come with rubbers already and you have them as an option above. no brainer there.

I'm gonna pass on the AV7's. they look too similar to the a-spec's that I have on right now.

I like the tsw mallory 5's, bardo, rivage & brooklands. anyone got pix of these wheels on an RL? i google'd it but couldn't find any.

the wheel configurator on the tsw website doesn't have the RL as a model to choose:

I have to call TSW tomorrow to order some wheels for a customer. I'm going to suggest adding the RL to their configurator considering the amount of interest in their wheels on this forum as of late.

Before I pulled the trigger on a set of TSW Panorama (18x8), I was told by DiscountTire guy who was on the phone with TSW that the 18 Bardo would not work on 2G RL and the 18 Jerez would likely be a fitment problem too.

Thats odd, because on discountTireDirect.com site, i enter in the year/make/model and bardo & jerez show up as wheels that 'fit'. hmmmm...not sure what to do now. other websites show the bardo/jerez as wheels that fit also...like elementwheel, carid, etc.

anyone here work for tsw or discountTire can confirm?

I work for Discount. I have a set of 20" Jerez sitting at my shop waiting for the snow to stop before putting them on. I already test fitted and they are fine. BTW, I don't see the Jerez on the website under the RL's fitment. These are new wheels and fitment is not 100% known until some trial and error has been done. Companies cannot be sure of fitment for every wheel on every car. There are millions of vehicle/wheel combinations.

Never mind, I found them under 19" wheel options. I was looking at 20's.

I agree. The on-line fitments should be a guide only, they are not 100% accurate. I suppose the only way to know for sure is to mount them or have somebody with firsthand experience confirm fitment. I can confirm firsthand that 18 inch TSW Panoramas bolt on direct with no issues but these sites don't even list that size for the RL.
