19's

hi im looking for a friend of mine, she just got an 07 RL and looking to get a new set of rims, i know its has the massive brakes (not sure if they are brembo) but it only looks like there are just a hand full of people w/ aftermarket rims. so im in need of size and offset

seems like 19 x 8.5 is what people's been recomending but what about the offset. i could not find that info anywhere... (only think i can find was stock was 55)

and tires 255/40/19.

i like the way the AME TFS01 look only place is at vividracing that i have located, also a member here w/ the name Touge has them( i guess im new so it wont allow me to PM him)

or is 18's a better way to go? if so will it be 18 x 8.5 as well and what tire size???

i dont think she is wanting to lower the car so, personally i have 19's i love the way it looks even tho my car is not as big as a RL.

also anyone got some good recomendation on tires selection?? i've used a few in my life time... Toyo T1S, i havent try the R ones... but hear good things, General UHP Exclaim great for the money(esp in 19s), had some trouble w/ flat spots w/ Goodyear F1 Gs-D3, and the michellien pilot sport ps2 (is a little bit too much for my blood)

want somthing reasonable. opions are accepted. just what to hear you guys thoughts!!!

Thanks in Advance!!!

Hi and welcome.I have 05 RL with A-spec suspension and I have 19x8.5 rims with 255/40 tires. You can go with 245/40/19 or 255/35/19 just like Touge. I decide on 255/40/19 (little more side wall). These 3 sizes work perfect with 8.5 rim.You are right, stock offset it's +55, but the problem with RL are front brake calipers (brembo).Lower offset (I think +38 and up) work to but watch for room for front calipers. So if You find the rims make sure they clear front calipers.Tires- I think best place to get info it's TIRE RACK. I have BBS RE rims 19x8.5 with Yokohama Advan S4 tires and I love them. P.S. I gonna have my set for sale soon.

I'm using 19s (19x8.5, offset +38) as well but I chose 245/40 for tires. I've also lowered the car with H&R springs. She rides and handles like a dream.
