19" or 20" Wheels?

Hi guys I'm Aruman, I'm from Aruba and I'm new on this forum
and have some questions.

I just bought a 2007 Honda Legend ( RL in the USA) and I'm a bit confused about which Wheel size is better for me to use. Stock tires is 235/50/17.

I plan to put a set of 20" TSW Snetterton wheels, but I was wondering if I can use 235/40/20 tire size, instead of 235/35/20 tires, which all the wheel websites and wheels shops recommend, because for me 235/35/20 is a bit to thin for my use, This is a everyday/all around driving car. I want to use 235/40/20 tire size if it won't cause any problems.

Or should I go with 19" wheels and 235/45/19 tires?
the reason I don't want to go with 19" wheels is because it's difficult to find 19" tire size for them.

But I don't know if I can fit 20" wheels with 235/40/20 without having any problems?

what do you guys think?

Anyways thanks a lot,

Aruman.

If you're not lowering the car it won't rub. You will have a problem with accuracy of your speedometer and odometer.

the offset will determine rubbign or not, and you should only go with 245/35/20 or 245/40/19, anything else would either rub or not work right with the transmission / gauges.

definately go with a 245 width tire. I'm pretty sure those 20's will at least be 8.5 width. If you dont drop and the offset isnt too low you can probably get away with 245/40. Need to know which wheel though cause they have several different offsets.

For some reason 19" tires are more expensive than 20". go figure.

Be careful of the weight of the wheels. 19s and 20s get very heavy very quickly. Didn't someone on here say Snetterton 20's weigh 40+ lbs a piece? That is a pretty severe unsprung weight penalty.

yeah. My 19" rim tire combo weighs 4 more lbs each than oem. Not bad, but extra weight nonetheless.

Apologies, it is the 20" MKW M54's that weigh 38 lbs per wheel no tire. I have no idea how much TSW wheels weigh
