Honestly, in Florida...I'd throw a mat on that bitch.
I had mine replaced, remember? The new one started sagging eventually too.

I will throw a dash mat on there soon. I got one on each of my TL so far, I know its doesn't prevent the crack but at east slowing the process down.

The only thing that prevents it in my opinion is keeping the ambient temperature from going too high or low...after a certain amount of extreme temp cycles...the material splits.
For down here...window visors and an insulated sun shade...
a garage is great too!

Big updated.

I just relieved the RL from daily duty as of yesterday. Sold the RL as I already pick up a direct replacement and my TL-S will be taking over the daily drive duty. I just picked up a 2016 GSF in Matador Red Mica, 66k miles with two previous owners.

I called 2 different Lexus dealer here in town for a PPI and both say they offer that service (not sure why). Called my local Acura dealer where I service the RL and TL, I was able to bring it in and put it on the lift. A master Tech (my buddy) and another Tech and I was underneath the vehicle inspecting for fluids leaks, shocks, suspension components to make sure everything is ok.

surprisingly underneath the GSF look quite 80% similar to the RL suspension and exhaust layout. We all agreed this could be the RL Type S, If Acura never butcher the flagship model.

Here are some last photo of the RL.

The MRP TL-S will be taken over daily duty in the RL place. I find hard to believe that I owned it for the past 11 years.

The Blue TL-S is my 3 pedal weekend therapy. I bought the KBP right before Covid hit (March 20 2020) as a restoration project. Don't mind the messy garage lol.

Here is the RL that loose it front wheel drive and gain 2 more cylinders.

For those who wondering the CF parts on the car are real. I am now in the process of learning how to deal with delaminate clear coat on CF, as these part isn't so cheap from Lexus

After a week of ownership, my standard protocol for ever new vehicle added in my fleet is Ceramic tint.

5% rear and 20% front with Suntek Ceramic film, stripped the old tint and apply the new one for $400 lol

Meanwhile it in the shop...

Yes I bought this GSF, originally I was pulling the trigger on a 2017 gray GSF in Indiana. However that car being sold before I could reach out to the dealer. No its not me that post a ran about the interior pieces, I highly doubt the dealer will do anything at this point. Originally I wanted a ISF however the asking price for 2011+ is almost at the GSF so GSF it is lol.

Feel greats to finally joining your F club tho.

I’m glad someone else made a similar jump!

I can understand why you’d want to jump into an ISF as I was in the same position. But I was telling a friend of mine, if I was buying today, I’d be looking at a GSF. All the ISFs with decent histories command GSF premiums. At that point I’d rather just buy a newer car.

I got lucky I got into the seat of an ISF when I did and got the car I did.

Man you did really good with that ISF, if you are buying that car now with the milages. It will have a price tag of closer to $40k, Carvana now has a 2011 ISF USB for $43k.

I love how the GSF let you turn off all the electronic stuff with an actual button and that TVD rear differential is fun, kinda remind me of the RL SH-AWD.

100%! You made a good move! I’m glad I got a 10 with the torsen diff and updated infotainment! Wasn’t too much of a stickler on the suspension since I intended to upgrade on my own anyways. I just wanted the bare minimum of what I couldn’t change on my own if that makes sense?

For any mods, I have great experience with Mike from Figs engineering. He’s been great in terms of support, even post sale.

Totally make sense in your logic, it also one of the reason the 2017+ MY didn't matter much to me as they got VAS over the static. If anything, I will be throwing a set of Ohlins. I have no plans to track the car yet so lets see how soft these LCA bushing on the GSF compare to the ISF cousin.

I purchased Ohlins thru Figs. 100% worth every penny. Honestly the LCA is worth the upgrade. The car felt more planted, and it takes all but an hour to do with basic hand tools. If you can jack the car up, you can replace it.

The cup holder and bezel around shifter are from a 2009+ RL, despite the power socket being on the opposite side, you have to unclip the wire harness in the center console and move it to the left. You can either bend the connection (socket base) or leave as is. If you leaving as is if you want to close the power socket you will have to lift up the upper left trim to fully close them.

I think I still have a wood grain cup holder assembly, its some where in the garage part stash. I bought as conversion until a salvage yard and they gave me a deal with steering wheel, cup holder, bezel and radio off a 2010 RL.

If I do find it just pay for the shipping.
