Yup, and i have the burn marks to prove it, I'm in the middle of changing all of them all, have the heated seat switches, center console lights, and climate control left, other than that i'm done.

i'm using both carbon file resistors, as you saw on the other picture, in the other thread 470 ohm 1/4 watt, and the chip resistors i'm using for anything else are 470 ohm 1/4 watt. The carbon film ones came with the led's i got from ebay (let me know if you want the seller's name, she was very helpful and flexable about putting together a package) and the chip (aka, smd and chip resistors) i got from nate over on www.ledautomotive.com but i'm sure hes getting them from here or something: also has a forum deticated to these conversion, tons of information over there in the stickied DIY's

Its not that hard, let me get the final product together, i'm down - did either of you go to the dc acurazine meet saturday?

yeah definately, it was the easiest one - the hardest part will be getting my shitty camera to capture the small flash of the LED. The security light already has a resistor so its just a direct replacement. I'm not sure i took pictures of "how" i did it, but i can help you through yours if you pop your out....i'll see what i can do about opening it back up and taking a picture of the final product but out of the plastic.

I'm hoping the climate control isn't all that hard - and i can get my steering wheel column back together with out damaging the ignition switch.

I'm still debating about an 8 mm led or a 5mm led (white) for accent lights near the pax and drives feet and one in the plastic for the rear view mirror (VERY DIM - much like the new benz and lexus)

climate control isnt too hard, make sure you use 3mm LED's for the heated seat switches, they have to go in at an angle and the 5mm doesn't fit very well.. ive gotta get pics of mine up, ive had it all done for a while now

i dont think i'll get around to it in the next week, going to mexico, but when i get back i'll rip it out and do them.

Mulk - what did you do for the clock and CC - blue film? I'm trying to see if there is a way you can make it brighter but still have dimming function.

i have zero knowledge (and therefore skill) in this area, so this DIY is out of the question i suppose.
id rather have green than fuck up my interior trying to get to blue.

but instead of all this LED and soldering work, do you think i could use blue lighting gels on my gauges, like some people have done with the clock and climate control, except put it behind the gauges obviously instead of right over it?
does that make sense?
i mean, take off my gauges, put the lighting gel on the back of them, and put them back on?
in my head it seems like it would work, because you wouldnt see the film at all, but i guess it wouldnt be as pure blue as LEDs would be.
is there something that im not seeing here that would prevent this from working?
